HI I’M LILY.

I’m a bilingual doula offering support in both English and German located in Perth WA, who fell in love with the journey of motherhood, before knowing the true meaning of the word doula.

My path to this work really began when I was ten. With the birth of my little brother Jimmy, something was also born within me - a natural instinct to nurture, to care, and to support my mother.

I adore working with children of all ages, however I've always been drawn to the blooming of motherhood. It's an honour to empower women, witness the power of birth and to be a part of those first few tender months of a new chapter.

When I began my doula studies, I knew I had found the work I was truly meant to do. After graduating I had an incredible opportunity to do an internship alongside an experienced doula, Rebecca Schmidt, who at this time had supported over 150 births. During this time with her, I was lucky enough to support multiple women, which shaped the way I now hold space.

Waves + Bloom was born from my desire to hold women who lacked or desired more support at one of the most transformative times in their lives. I had seen how women could ease into matrescence the right village around them. I'm devoted to being a presence of strength, unwavering encouragement and compassion for you and your family.

The word doula comes from ancient Greek, traditionally describing a woman who supports and serves another woman- especially during childbirth. Today, it’s understood in a more meaningful and empowering way: a woman devoted to caring for and walking alongside another during a deeply transformative time.
A woman holding a baby in her arms, sitting at a table in a casual indoor setting. The woman has a messy bun hairstyle and is wearing a white dress with eyelet details, earrings, and layered necklaces. The baby, wearing a knit cap and a white outfit, looks up at the woman while she gazes back at the baby. There are plates and utensils on the table, and a speaker and some items on a shelf in the background.
